How will you develop?
Many people believe that he could improve life if they have more willpower. With a strong self-control, we could abandon unhealthy habits and we have many achievements in all fields. Easily succumb to the temptation? Quitting quickly to what you propose if you difficulties? All you have to do is to develop your will power.
Who would not want to have enough determination to eat properly, exercise regularly do, to raise money and get everything in general aims? In most cases, we do not have sufficient internal resources to resist temptation and avoid falling into the traps of an unhealthy lives of physically and mentally. Mental balance is destroyed and, in frustration or despair, we begin to allow ourselves to be guided by primitive desires. Due to the lack of will get stuck in that state of helplessness. However, many psychologists believe that the will is that "a muscle" you can train your mind in time.
Lack of will is not the only reason why people do not achieve their goals. First, there must be motivation to make a change in life and setting a clear goal. Secondly, the behavior must be adapted to the particular situation. Then, finally, comes the will. Whether it is weight loss, smoking cessation or less time spent on the Internet, no determination can not be successful in what you propose to do.
What is the will?
In essence, the will is a form of self: the ability to withstand short-term temptations to get something long term. But not only that. It does have a strong will to get over bad thoughts or feelings undesirable to adopt a cognitive system "cold" at the expense of emotional system "warm" and constantly self help to achieve the desired results.
How will we grow?
Just like a muscle, will be enhanced by appropriate effort, but maybe "tired" if overloaded. It was shown that exercise will and decision making as much use of mental resources. It is recommended that you do not have many activities simultaneously involving increased mental effort. Chances to get results fall occurs when mental fatigue.
Another important factor is the physical condition: when you have cooled and weakened immune system, you are irritable and have less self-control. Furthermore, healthy eating habits and exercise are essential for sufficient rest will. Who could be equally determined to do something after sleepless nights in a row and frugal meals, irregular?
Just as with physical training, developing self-control must be done step by step. Setting daily goals without much notice, and improve posture or using the mouse with the other hand can help strengthen long-term determination. Even the choice of long-term goals, more difficult, it is important that they be divided into smaller goals, easily reached. The small successes strengthen your confidence and feel more motivated to continue to practice self-control.
Another aspect that you must take into account is that you're not alone. If you want to improve your quality of life, surely she'll be with loved ones. Find yourself a person to constantly remind you of what you intend to do and vice versa. If you whom to share a success, the feeling of self-satisfaction will be much higher and thus increase the chances to go to finish what you have proposed. For example, it is much easier to follow a diet or body building program if you have a weak partner. Mutual encouragement is very important!
According to the American Society for Training and Development, these statistics show the probability of success in achieving a goal:
- 10% if you hear an idea- 25% if you decide consciously to adopt- 40% if you decide when to start- 50% if you decide how to act in that direction- 65% if you promise you'll do that thing else- 95% if you have an understanding of mutual encouragement to someoneSo will not the trademark you have or not, but rather a skill that must be practiced to give the desired results. Such a change is not easily achieved, but only bring short-term benefits and long!
